Despite what you might think, Glendalough is not a witch. It’s a settlement from the 6th century and also one of many cemeteries we saw in Ireland. It featured all kinds a headstones that appeared to barely be holding back zombies, what was left of a church, a bell tower used to call people to prayer (I think they just use push notifications now), and two lakes. We didn’t end up walking to either of the lakes because we still had a lot of driving to do and we were in Banff last summer which is where you go to scratch your lake itch.

On the list of things we’ve ruined for ourselves are waterfalls (Iceland), lakes (Banff), and now… cemeteries? Oh, well and bed and breakfasts… beds and breakfast… surgeons general? Anyway, you’ll see soon enough when we get to Dingle and how John, our unbelievable host, set an unreasonable bar for all future stays. 🪦

The grounds were equal parts pretty and eerie, like walking around on Helena Bonham Carter. Anyway, here are the pics because let’s be honest, you’re not here for HBC similes though you just might stay for them.

Finally, on to Kilkenny!
