If you haven’t read up on our flight into Dublin, feel free to check that out here. I don’t bring that up to re-open old wounds, but because it sets up our first night in Dublin, which started with buying shoes for Sarah and underwear for me.

This is your pilot speaking, the contents of your itinerary may have shifted during flight. 🤷‍♂️

Our first meal in Ireland was a proper one, with the first of many meat pies, soup, and some Guinness. I wish I had counted the number of Guinness(es?) I had on our trip. It was a lot but somehow still not enough. Sarah was absolutely spent so she politely demanded I choose where we eat, which of course ended up being the first pub we encountered… Something-O-Something-han’s, probably. 👇

Here are a few shots from the streets of Dublin, because why not. It’s a city. They have shops. They have parks. They have a lot of old churches. There are people. Sometimes there is 💩 on the ground. Sometimes (most of the time) it’s not clear whether it’s from a person or a dog.

I just had the worst idea for a gameshow… ever.

Anyway… Dublin!

Notable locations above include Grafton Street, The Temple Bar, Ha’penny Bridge, St. Stephen’s Green Park, Trinity College, and Liberties of Christ Church… which by the way does not have a bathroom for people who need to go badly but not badly enough to pay €20. I didn’t get any pictures of the Subway that came to my rescue but it was… fine.

Next up, our tour of the Guinness “brewery”.
