Today was a hazy and lazy drive up the coast, through SF, over the Golden Gate Bridge and up into Napa. The early part was very interesting, with what felt like multiple biomes all in one spot. There was farming right up to the water, with heartland looking terrain dotted with cows inland. Sometimes the mountains we drove through looked like CA mountains, then a few miles later we were in PA forest-like mountains and back again just as quickly. If you believe in the whole higher power thing, it’s very possible we were driving through the boss’ kid’s diorama.
We stopped at an overlook on the way that, due to all the fog, turned out to be all over and no look. But the breeze was nice which gave us a break from the stuffy car. Lemonade from lemons, and all.
We are currently enjoying the bottle of wine left for us in this room before we Uber out for a nice dinner and more wine. When you’re in Wonka’s factory you eat lots of chocolate. When you’re in Napa, wine. Cheers!
