Last night we had dinner on the wharf where it’s like the Sharks and the Jets, except instead of turf wars it’s all about clam chowder.

Today we hit the aquarium, which was super nice. We tried not to take too many photos and instead just enjoy the sights. The rest of the patrons still haven’t looked up from their phones. We watched one guy film a jelly fish for a while. I’m not sure the beauty of it came through on his tiny phone, but at least he’ll have something pretty to delete in 9 months when he needs to make room for the new Taylor Swift album. Sarah got to see the penguin feeding, I got to see sharks and turtles and we avoided the tarantula display. Check, check and check. There were a few AMAZING schools of sardines and anchovies, but pictures just wouldn’t have captured it. All in all it was a great visit.

We’re heading to the boardwalk in Santa Cruz tonight. It sounds like Coney Island. Rides, hot dogs and cotton candy. I’m going to try to win Sarah an oversized stuffed bear. With any luck she’ll go to prom with me. More on the board walk soon…
