We set out this day with very little planned and ended up all over the place seeing all kinds of wacky old crap. We learned that forums are like drugstores, there’s one on every corner… or at least what’s left of them, which isn’t much. You’d think at some point they’d start reusing these things, but in ancient Rome buildings were the sports cars of the time and everyone needed to leave their mark. There was a lot of dick measuring going on back then, which is ironic because most of the statues are now mising that part. Somewhere under Rome is a treasure trove of dicks and noses. Keep digging.
Besides old buildings we wandered through a rather large park, perhaps Rome’s version of Central Park (I’m sure that’s chronologically backwards), and stumbled upon a Da Vinci museum which was simultaneously fascinating and depressing. Did you know he invented twerking AND the Slap Chop? True story. We finished the day off by revisiting The Pantheon at night… totally worth it. And we got more gelato…. totally woRuth it-er.
“Best” thing I saw all day was a David magnet, just his crotch, that was circumcised. Try harder, stupid. And yes, this post has a theme but slow down Freud, I’m married. Sometimes a joke is just a joke.
